Two things.

1.  The Bruins won game 7 last night in sudden death!  I didn’t breathe from approximately 7-10ish.  It was amazing and of course hot stuff Horton scored the winning goal, again!  In case you missed it, here it is!  Bring on the Flyers!

NEVER, EVER DATE A FLYERS FAN.

EVEN IF SHE SHAVES HER MOUSTACHE.

(if you’re a Flyers fan, it’s a joke)

Here is a close up of Nathan Horton too, because I mean you can’t see this beautiful face when he’s scoring that goal.

2.  Tomorrow I am heading down to Nashville for the weekend. I’m super excited to go but have been stressing out a bit about what to pack. Anyone live in Nashville and want to help me out?! This will be my first time just bringing a carry on. I’m an over-packing and I’m nervous that I won’t have enough options. Then again I can always go shopping, right?!

I was looking up things about the hotel earlier this week and when I type the name Union Station into Google, it appears that some say it’s haunted.  Great!  All of my friends are down there already and I just received a text from Pauline saying, umm the light just turned on by itself.  I hope it doesn’t spook us out and ruin our fun!

Have a great weekend!

Late weekend update.

Hey Guys!  Sorry I haven’t blogged in almost a week!  Super busy weekend.  Friday night I met all the girls at Tavolo for Jill’s birthday celebration.  I had the most amazing steak ever with a side of garlicky spinach.  SO good.  Can’t stop thinking about it.  Unfortunately, I didn’t have my camera to take a picture.

Saturday I slept in, which was amazing since it was down pouring.  After spending a good portion of the day on the couch with Jimmy, he forced me to watch the Goonies.  Ugh.  I headed out to get his niece and nephew a few goodies for Easter.  Saturday night I met up with Andrea and Nicole to celebrate their birthdays!  We went to tu y yo for some authentic Mexican.  It was very good also.  The owner of the bar brought over some complimentary shots for us.  The shot was awful.  A combination of Kahlua, Tequila and Coke.  So gross.  I forget the name, but I’ll never be ordering it again anyway.

Here we are at dinner-

We were feeling a little spontaneous so after dinner we headed into Faneuil Hall for some dancing.  We went to Ned Devine’s, a bar that I haven’t been to in probably 3 years.  I felt like quite the cougar, but that’s ok.  We finished watching a very, very long Bruins game!  Luckily they won! Jimmy and a few of his friends met us out. We had a blast dancing and my feet were still hurting on Monday!

Sunday was Easter, obviously.  We drove back to Jimmy’s parents house, which is a long 1.5 hour drive when you’re a tad bit hung over and extremely tired.  We watched his niece and nephew find eggs and open our gifts, had dinner and passed out on the couch for a few hours! Haha, my Easter was exciting.

Florida!

Well I’m back from sunny Orlando.  My boyfriend, Jimmy, lived in Orlando for 5 years and practically begs me daily to move back there.  He was super excited to show me around and introduce me to a lot of his friends at the wedding.

The first night we were there we headed to Kobe Japanese Steakhouse.  We have a few up here in Boston but, he insists that this one is the best.  Jimmy showed a few kids (when I say kids I mean they JUST turned 21) how to do sake bombs.

Saturday we spent the day relaxing at our hotel.  We stayed at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate.  The hotel was amazing and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Orlando.  It has 2 golf courses, an amazing spa, a lazy river, water slide, 2 pools, starbucks!, I could go on but I’ll stop!

Saturday night we had Teri and Eric’s wedding.  It was so much fun!  I met some super nice people and we had the best, outgoing table at the wedding!  Here’s a few of my favorite pictures from the wedding.

On Sunday, Jimmy’s uncle took us out on the boat.  The guys went fishing while I just people watched and experienced my first encounter with alligators!  Holy Crap!  Those suckers were not even 20 feet from the boat.  It was the perfect day on Sunday.  We also pulled up to a little island and got out.  The island was full of people playing drinking games, doing shots and eating snacks!  Would of been the perfect thing to participate in if I wasn’t getting on a plane right after!  Pictures from the perfect Sunday!

I’m LOVING that my manicure has lasted 7 days so far.  I went with the thrill of Brazil, love it!

I’m LOVING that my skin is still super smooth after my facial.  Best facial ever.

Here is the description the spa gives of it-

A warm, marine therapy compress is applied on the back and spine to induce relaxation. Our facial includes an AHA exfoliation, which ensures optimal efficiency of our treatment masque, and an intensive anti-aging eye contour masque helps soothe the fragile eye area while reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin is bathed in essential minerals and vitamins to stimulate collagen, repair damage, refine pores and resurface your complexion.

I’m LOVING that this weekend I will be celebrating 3 of my friend’s birthdays!

Happy Birthday to Nicole, Andrea and Jill!

What I’m loving: beauty products!

I decided to switch it up this week and write about some of the products that I’m addicted to.  Most of my friends will say that I have a little product problem.  I could spend hours and lots of $ in Sephora.  I’m also a sucker for beauty counters at department stores.  Not sure if anyone else out there does this but, when I go into a store that sells makeup and I’m looking for something new, I have to scope out the women working and see who has the best makeup on their face.  (forgive my run-on sentences today)  Is that mean of me?!  I’ve also come to the realization recently that, let’s face it (no pun intended!) I’m not getting any younger and if looker younger requires some more expensive products, than that’s ok!  Here are some of my favorites- Enjoy!

The only mascara that builds up my blonde lashes!  I swear by it and absolutely LOVE it! It makes them look so full!

Lancôme- Hypnose Drama

This one is a recent find.  When I came back from Mexico last month, my skin was flaking and dry from the sun and of course I had a wedding the next day.  I needed a quick fix and headed to the trusty lady at Lancôme again.  I put this on my skin a few times a day, works like magic!

Moroccan Oil is a lifesaver for me.  For some reason in the winter my hair gets super dry, sometimes I feel like it looks like hay.  :(  But if I use a nickel sized amount of this stuff, my hair sucks it up so quickly and makes a huge difference!  Try it if your hair is dry!

Another hair repair product that I swear by is from L’Oreal Professional, Expert Series.  My hairdresser made me try it.  It’s basically a mask for your hair, I put it on after shampooing and leave in it for like 5-10 minutes then rinse.  I tend to save this one for weekends!  I can usually get my hair super smooth after using it.

I don’t know about where you live, but winter/spring up here in Boston can take a toll on your skin.  Dry skin is not cute and moisturizing is essential!  Everyday after the shower I have to moisturize my whole body and then still apply more to my hands throughout the day.  I LOVE Neutrogena Moisture Wrap body lotion. Works the best right after the shower!

Wedding Wear.

wedding
I'm off to Florida this week for a wedding.  I'm not exactly sure what I'm wearing but, I do have a navy strapless dress, red patent heels and a matching clutch.  I figured I'd start there.  I was thinking of maybe doing gold wedge sandals but have yet to come across I like for less than $300.  My toes will probably be suffocating in the Florida heat.  Maybe I'll just have to buy a new pair of shoes when I get down there!

I’m LOVING that when I got a manicure this week that I went with an old favorite, OPI bubble bath.  Lately I’ve been sticking with OPI Siberian nights, love that too!

I’m LOVING that tulips are so inexpensive right now!  They were only $6 at Whole Foods last week!  I bought some purple ones to go in my new Anthropologie vase!

I’m LOVING that I’m sitting here smelling my favorite candle.  I love the Voluspa candles.  I usually find them at Anthropologie or Francesca’s Collection.  My favorite is the Baltic Amber, so good!

I feel bad for this one but I am LOVING that Wendy Williams got kicked off of DWTS.  She totally wasn’t trying her hardest!  I’m sure she could really get down if she wanted to.  I do however feel bad for her partner, Tony Dovolani.  She wouldn’t even do the final dance with him, how rude!

I’m LOVING my boyfriend for switching my laundry at 5:30am this morning.  All because I was still asleep and hate going down 3 floors to do it. :) LOVE HIM!

Weekend purchases.

Good Morning!  Happy Tuesday.  This past weekend I went shopping with my friend Nancy.  We hit up legacy place (you know, the place where I spend the most $$) for about 4 straight hours of shopping.  We’re pros.  Every Saturday when we were teens we would hop on the #11 bus and go shopping in Downtown Crossing and Faneuil Hall or  catch the #9 and head into Copley and Newbury St.  We had the life, guess you could say we were addicted.  We had a successful shopping day and these are some of the things that I bought!

I’m a sucker for the Gap city flats.  I bought another pair, that makes my total= 3.  I decided to go with the Guava Pink this time.  Love how bright they are.  (I also got Nancy addicted, she bought 2 pairs!)

flats

I’ve had a Pandora bracelet for 2 years now and slowly but surely have been collecting new charms.  I decided I need a new one so I bought the faith, hope, love charm for myself.

About a year ago I found one of my favorite DIY blogs, Young House Love. I absolutely love their style and how creative they are.  I loved how Sherry stored some of her jewelry so much that I just had to copy her.  I bought this farmers egg crate in sky at Anthropologie this weekend.  It’s already on my nightstand next to my bed.  I hate sleeping with jewelry on and usually if I throw something on my nightstand, I find it on the floor in the morning.  Not anymore!

My final purchase of the weekend was this cute shirt from Target.  Gotta love the Target clearance section!  I love the stripes and I’m actually wearing it right now with a navy cardigan.
